How much does this all cost?
My pieces start at $5 each (including design
time), although on average my pieces are $8ish each, these are
typically the wedding pieces. The smaller pieces (ie thank yous)
are $2-$3 each (including envelopes). I am willing to work within a
budget. It's difficult for me to give an exact price on custom
pieces right away because I have to look into the required
materials... some cost more, some cost less.
The quote that is given is based on what you see is what you get. I will go over the proofs throughly so you know whats included. Anything past that is extra. For example: If you say you want a ribbon from the start then that will be included in the inital quote. If you say you want a ribbon AFTER the first proofs then that's extra.
Photo retouching is extra.
What's your lead time?
Since all orders are custom designed and
hand made, time frames are dependent upon the complexity and
quantity of the order. Generally, I prefer to have a 3-4 week
time frame. Rush fees may apply to shorter time
tables.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes and no. It really just depends on what
needs to be done. Please contact me and I can tell you more based
on what it is you are looking for. I am willing to work with your
budgetary needs.
Do you ship overseas?
I will ship your order to any address you
designate, however international shipping charges may apply. I am
not responsible for shipping damage.
Do you require a deposit?
I require a 70% deposit upon your final
approval of the proof. The remaining 30% plus shipping fees will be
due at the time of shipping.
What are my payment options?
I accept checks, cash or PayPal. There is a
3% service fee to use PayPal.
Can I order a sample to be mailed to
me?
Because each invitation is custom designed
and hand made specifically for the client, I do not stock samples
and it would be costly for me to send out samples for each order. I
do try to provide samples of the paper choices for approval. You
will receive a proof of the sample design you select via e-mail and
please be assured that I produce the highest quality
product.
Do you proofread?
No. I do scan the wording that is provided
to me and by the nature of my profession, I often catch things no
one would. However, I do not actually proofread. Please be sure to
check and double check all spellings and wording to make sure
everything is how you see fit.
Can you print in other
languages?
I can print in any language you specify
however I do not provide a translation service. I require that
the wording be submitted exactly how you want it to appear on your
item. This includes making sure the punctuation and accent
marks are placed correctly. Any changes needed due to an error
in spelling, punctuation or grammar that you provide, can only be
changed for an additional fee to the customer.
Do you offer letterpress?
Yes, I provide that service, but it does
raise the price of the invitation and may require more time to
produce the order.
How does the whole process
work?
I like to begin by scheduling an
appointment. This appointment can be done over the phone, through
email, or face to face. During this initial meeting, we will
discuss ideas, color schemes, embellishments, shapes, wording,
quantity, and price ranges, etc. I will stay in contact with
you during the design and creation process to keep you well
informed of the status of your order. After the design is
created, I will send you the design via e-mail. An actual proof can
be provided (if requested) at the price of a sample. After you have
given final written approval and I have received your 70% deposit
(by check or money order), production will begin on your order. The
remaining balance owed, including shipping costs, will be due at
time of shipping.
After I receive the proof can I still make
changes?
You can make changes to your order up to 2
times until I have received your final approval and begin producing
your order. Changes after that can be made, however an additional
fee of $15 will be charged to the customer. A complete redesign
will be a fee of $75.
If I like part of one invitation and part of
another, what can you do?
That is the beauty of a custom
design. My goal is to get you the exact design you have
envisioned for your event and this may mean changing any part of a
piece to suit your needs. I am pleased when clients provide
their own creative ideas or an idea they wish to blend with my
ideas. I encourage my clients to look around to get ideas and send
them to me to help guide me to the perfect design.
